Why do you need my state license to register for the app? It’s our policy that the app was designed to augment the clinical practice of licensed practitioners. We’re just trying to ensure the app is used as intended.
I am not a licensed clinician but I want to use the app in my business. Shoot us an email and we can talk. We may be open to other uses of the app.
I received an invitation email from the administrator of the app, but the link in my invitation email to join the app doesn’t work. Invitation links to therapists expire after four hours as a security issue. You can either (1) go to the app login page and click “Forgot your password?” and the system should let you set a password, or (2) send us an email and we will resend the invite for you to have another four-hour window.
How do I get the full manual for a protocol? The app only shows brief reminders for each step and does not describe the full techniques and theories, which are included in full, paper manuals and complemented by workshops and supervision training. Some full manuals are freely available, and we can send those to you or tell you where to find them. Some manuals are available from developers or publishers for a fee, and we can tell you where to obtain those. We will not send full manuals to clients or to unregistered therapists.
I sent an invitation to a client using the wrong email address. How do I remove this pending invite from my profile page? Contact us, and the administrator can delete it.
How do I cancel my subscription? On your profile page, there should be a “Manage Subscription” link under your email address near the top.
Do I need a BAA with Scheeringa Mind Company? No. Therapists and, if applicable, the clinics that employ them, who transmit protected health information (PHI) electronically are considered HIPAA Covered Entities that are required to comply with the HIPAA Privacy, Security, and Breach Notification Rules. If they transmit such information to outside vendor “business associates” (e.g., for claims processing), they must execute a business associate agreement (BAA). Our Therapy Fidelity app does not collect any PHI because we advise patients to use an email address as their username that cannot reveal their identity. If patients opt to use an email address with the app that could reveal their identity, they do so voluntarily and accept the risks that may come with loss of privacy.
Client Questions
I didn’t receive my invitation email from my therapist. Check your folders that your email provider uses for unwanted emails. They may be called Spam, Junk, Quarantine, Social, or Promotions. You can also try going to the app login page and click “Forgot your password?” and the system should let you in to set a password if your therapist used the correct email. Also, double-check with your therapist that your email address was spelled correctly.
What if I switch clinicians? Do I keep my profile? Yes, but you will not be able automatically to use it with your new clinician. Contact us at [email protected], and the administrator of the app can reassign your profile to your new clinician. Alternatively, you could just create a new email address and your new clinician could use that to invite you to app.
I took a survey, but the results don’t show up. Remember that there can be a slight delay with some browsers for communication to go back and forth with the background procedures in the app. Scroll up to the top of your page and tap the refresh icon (two arrows in a circle).
I took a survey, but the app won’t let me take it a second time. Each survey in the Surveys cart is locked for seven days after taking it. If more than seven days have passed and you are still blocked from re-taking it, contact us to troubleshoot.
I want my data deleted from the app. Contact us and we’ll gladly delete your profile with all its data. No questions asked. After we delete it, we’ll send an email to your therapist to notify them so that they understand why their list of users changed.
Will my clinician have a BAA to use the Therapy Fidelity app during my treatment? No. Therapists are not required to have a HIPAA-compliant business associate agreement (BAA) to use the app. Our Therapy Fidelity app does not collect any protected health information because we advise patients to use an email address as their username that cannot reveal their identity. Creating email addresses is easy and free through many email providers. If patients opt to use an email address with the app that could reveal their identity, they do so voluntarily and accept the risks that may come with loss of privacy.
